Black & Walnut Regency Style Dressing Table / Dresser
This delightful reproduction vintage dresser / dressing table has been given a modernising makeover in black and natural wood.
The top and drawer fronts feature a lovely geometric inlay and have been stained in a walnut tone before sealing in hardwearing hardwax oil to make the grain and the inlay pop.
The frame, side panels and mirror have been painted in a high quality matt black acrylic furniture paint.
The Regency style wreath handles and castor feet have been refinished in a striking gold that pops against the black and walnut finish.
The oval mirror has a fabulous bevelled edge and with three generous drawers and small under mirror drawer, this is just the perfect place to get ready for work or a fabulous night out.

Burr Walnut & Black Bow Front Chest of Drawers
This bow fronted chest of drawers has been given a dramatic modern makeover. The original varnish has been removed, the frame painted in black acrylic paint and the whole piece has then been oiled with a clear satin hardwax oil to make the burr walnut veneers pop. The original brass handles have been cleaned and lacquered to maintain their brilliance.
A rare and unique find, this chest of drawers will provide a stylish focal point and useful storage for your home.

King Skull Charcoal & Silver Bedroom Furniture
These three drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been professionally upcycled and given an edgy and striking makeover.
Each cabinet is painted in a hardwearing acrylic paint that is such a dark grey it is also black. Each flat surface has been decoupaged in a textured vinyl wallpaper that features crowned skulls in a glittery silver.
The handles are classic, simple silver cones and the drawers have been been lined with the same skull design paper .
Price is per cabinet and they are made to order on a commission basis (approx 4-6 weeks) using a similar cabinet that you will approve before the makeover starts.
You can also commission solid pine chest of drawers (approx £395 depending on size) and dressing tables (approx £290) in the same design.

Black Velvet Bristow Easy Chairs
These lovely Original Bristow Easy Chairs were originally owned by a couple who had them from new when they were first married back in the 1960s. They are preloved and have been a part of a wonderful life. They have now been reloved by Glasshouse Girl and are ready to be a start a new story as a part of a your home. I have two chairs available and the price quoted is per chair.
Each chair has been completely stripped down to the bare wood and painted in a black acrylic. The interior foams have been replaced to bring them up to modern fire safety standards.
The upholstery fabric is a black textured soft velvet with a geometric hexagons and triangles design from Studio G (part of Clarke and Clarke). The Lustro Loreto design in Jet ticks both the modern and retro styles simultaneously!
With a sprung base and seat back underneath and thick incredibly comfortable foam pad, these Easy chairs are the perfect mid-century feature piece for you to melt into after a long day.

Black ‘Croc’ Storage Sideboard
This is an excellent example of my 'Croc' range of furniture using an original vintage 'Strongbow Furniture' sideboard.
The external frame has been painted black and the top, sides and door front decoupaged with a textured black/grey mock croc paper. The piece has then been sealed with multiple coats of a resin based varnish to protect and maintain its good looks.
As a final flourish, the original brass hardware has been fully restored and adds a bit of glitz to the sideboard's subtle and elegant good looks.

This sideboard has three doors and two pull out drawers behind the central door. The interior has been cleaned and buffed to show the beautiful original wood. Coming up to just above waist height, this sideboard has an incredible amount of storage which is ideal for modern living.

Black & Pale Yew Sideboard / Dresser
This gorgeous small sideboard has been given a real Glasshouse Girl transformation - you can read all about it on my blog. Starting its journey as a yellow varnished piece, once the varnish came off the yew veneer revealed its true beauty.
The body has been painted (inside and out) in a black matt acrylic paint giving it an edgy modern finish. Whilst the top surface, drawer fronts and doors have had a cream tinted oil applied and been buffed until it feels like velvet. This oil product was originally developed for floors so its incredibly hardwearing.
The handles and hinges have been refinished in brass, a nod to its traditional styling.
This small sideboard would be lovely in a dining room or kitchen but would work equally well as a tv stand or bedroom storage.

Ercol Highback Dining Chairs
These gorgeous vintage Ercol dining chairs feature a highback hoop back and are available with plain stick backs or with the central swan backsplat.
Despite being of exceptional quality, the original finish is often chipped and flaking so Glasshouse Girl brings them bang up to date by stripping this off. The seat pads are then sanded back to bare wood and sealed them with hardwax oil giving a soft natural finish. The back/base is refinished in high quality acrylic paint which feels soft to the touch. The standard colours I offer are black or white but custom colours are available upon request - please contact me for more information.

‘Stud U Love’ Black Leather Tub Chairs
These leather tub chairs had their previous life as an uninspiring navy reception chair until they got the full Glasshouse Girl treatment!
The original brown studding was removed and the wooden frames stripped back to the bare wood. The genuine leather upholstery is thick and soft making these chairs incredibly comfortable and has been restained jet black.
The frame has been repainted in a modern matte black acrylic paint.
Inspired by the work of New York designer Lee Broom, I've made the studding on these chairs their highlight feature. I've selected a range of decorative upholstery studs in different shapes and colours including flowers, footballs, honeycombs, squares, blacks, glitters, silver, chrome and brass.
Dimensions: 625mm wide x 590mm deep x 775mm high.
