Where pieces can be ‘back-ordered’, they are pieces that I am confident I will be able to source and create something the same or incredibly similar within 4-6 weeks including any customisations you would like.

Pieces that are out of stock are for illustration purposes of colours / design / price as the ‘raw’ units are harder to get hold of. That said, I shop for raw units every day so get in touch with your requirements and I’ll find the perfect piece just for you!

Burr Walnut & Black Bow Front Chest of Drawers

This bow fronted chest of drawers has been given a dramatic modern makeover. The original varnish has been removed, the frame painted in black acrylic paint and the whole piece has then been oiled with a clear satin hardwax oil to make the burr walnut veneers pop. The original brass handles have been cleaned and lacquered to maintain their brilliance. A rare and unique find, this chest of drawers will provide a stylish focal point and useful storage for your home. Dimensions: 760mm wide x 490mm deep (at deepest point) / 440mm deep (at ends) x 845mm high. All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance. Black Velvet Bristow Easy Chairs

These lovely Original Bristow Easy Chairs were originally owned by a couple who had them from new when they were first married back in the 1960s. They are preloved and have been a part of a wonderful life. They have now been reloved by Glasshouse Girl and are ready to be a start a new story as a part of a your home. I have two chairs available and the price quoted is per chair. Each chair has been completely stripped down to the bare wood and painted in a black acrylic. The interior foams have been replaced to bring them up to modern fire safety standards. The upholstery fabric is a black textured soft velvet with a geometric hexagons and triangles design from Studio G (part of Clarke and Clarke). The Lustro Loreto design in Jet ticks both the modern and retro styles simultaneously! With a sprung base and seat back underneath and thick incredibly comfortable foam pad, these Easy chairs are the perfect mid-century feature piece for you to melt into after a long day. ‘Snakebite in Black’ Side Tables / Cabinets

This pair of very old vintage pot cupboards have been given a Glasshouse Girl makeover and turned into stylish side tables perfect for a modern bedroom, hallway or living room. Just because your interior style favours the subtle, furniture with a pop of colour on the inside can brighten your day! Each cupboard has been carefully prepared, undercoated and painted in hardwearing matte acrylic paint. The outsides are black and the insides deliver a massive pop of hot pink. The shelves have then been lined with pink snakeskin wallpaper to add even more interest. Simple pink resin and brass t-bar handles from Graham and Green complete the look. Single Shelf Cabinet dimensions: 403mm wide x 400mm deep x 740mm high Double Shelf Cabinet dimensions: 414mm wide x 400mm deep x 767mm high These cabinets are very old and quirky which adds to their shabby chic appeal, so please take care to review the photographs carefully before purchase - thank you! Black ‘Croc’ Storage Sideboard

This is an excellent example of my 'Croc' range of furniture using an original vintage 'Strongbow Furniture' sideboard. The external frame has been painted black and the top, sides and door front decoupaged with a textured black/grey mock croc paper. The piece has then been sealed with multiple coats of a resin based varnish to protect and maintain its good looks. As a final flourish, the original brass hardware has been fully restored and adds a bit of glitz to the sideboard's subtle and elegant good looks. Strongbow Furniture has been creating high-quality furniture for over 140 years and uses the finest timbers, veneers and polishes. Each piece is made by experienced cabinet-makers who combine traditional skills and modern production technology. This sideboard has three doors and two pull out drawers behind the central door. The interior has been cleaned and buffed to show the beautiful original wood. Coming up to just above waist height, this sideboard has an incredible amount of storage which is ideal for modern living. Dimensions: 137cm wide x 42cm deep x 93cm tall. ‘Stud U Love’ Black Leather Tub Chairs

These leather tub chairs had their previous life as an uninspiring navy reception chair until they got the full Glasshouse Girl treatment! The original brown studding was removed and the wooden frames stripped back to the bare wood. The genuine leather upholstery is thick and soft making these chairs incredibly comfortable and has been restained jet black. The frame has been repainted in a modern matte black acrylic paint. Inspired by the work of New York designer Lee Broom, I've made the studding on these chairs their highlight feature. I've selected a range of decorative upholstery studs in different shapes and colours including flowers, footballs, honeycombs, squares, blacks, glitters, silver, chrome and brass. Dimensions: 625mm wide x 590mm deep x 775mm high. If you are looking for a practical and classic chair with a subtle design bite then the 'Stud U Love' Chairs are the perfect piece for you. As with all my pieces, these chairs are preloved and upcycled. The leather is in excellent condition but there are some minor creases / marks in line with their vintage provenance.

I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
