Where pieces can be ‘back-ordered’, they are pieces that I am confident I will be able to source and create something the same or incredibly similar within 4-6 weeks including any customisations you would like.

Pieces that are out of stock are for illustration purposes of colours / design / price as the ‘raw’ units are harder to get hold of. That said, I shop for raw units every day so get in touch with your requirements and I’ll find the perfect piece just for you!

Vintage Serpentine Sideboard Decoupaged in Lacroix ‘La Main au Collet’ Paper

This stylish vintage sideboard with a serpentine front and dagger legs has been given a modern 'shabby luxe' makeover. The piece has been painted black and then decoupaged with Christian Lacroix's 'La Main au Collet' wallpaper by Designers Guild in the Galet colourway. This is a lovely neutral beige with black illustrations of gemstones and jewellery that features cherubs, rings, hearts and jewel details with a traditional feel. The original lion's head handles have been refinished in black and the piece has been sealed in a hardwearing satin varnish. Dimensions: 1380mm wide x 480mm deep (at the deepest point) x 855mm high. Black & White Monochrome Floral Patterned Bedroom Furniture

These 3 drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been lovingly upcycled and rescued from obscurity with coal black paint and decoupage. The decoupage is a floral motif featuring curvy lines and floral patterns which when seen from a distance is bold geometric whilst it gets more floral and feminine up close. The handles are a simple black cage which blends seamlessly with the black pattern. The units are finished with two coats of a resin based varnish to protect them from wear and tear. Dimensions: 405mm wide x 340mm deep x 560mm high The paper used is now out of print but I have enough left to create a matching chest of drawers which would be approximately £360 depending on size of the chest of drawers - please contact me to discuss. All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance.

Dark Peacock Bow Front Sideboard

This gorgeous 1950s Beautility brand sideboard has been given a glamorous update with the bow-front curves gently undulating to accentuate its fine figure. These pieces are stripped down and brought back to life by painting in multiple coats of hardwearing black acrylic paint. I then apply this stunning textured vinyl wallpaper to the flat surfaces. The design has a black base and striking colours which feature peacocks, quail and other birds as well as tulips, roses and floral motifs. To complete the piece, I have added the gorgeous handles from Anthropologie. The black drawers are set off with turquoise handles and the doors have matching black handles to more subtly merge into the feature paper. This is a truly great example of Shabby Luxe styling, where a piece has been luxuriously upcycled whilst keeping its vintage charm intact. Dimensions: 1220mm wide x 490mm deep (at max curve) x 565mm high. These pieces have been finished and graded for light domestic use (e.g. display and storage purposes) standards but if you wish to use it for a more arduous application (e.g. bar or serving area) then I would recommend adding a glass top. A glass top template will be included with your purchase for you to source locally or you can upgrade by selecting the 'with glass' option when you add to your basket. Typical lead time is 4-6 weeks once a raw unit has been sourced. As this piece is preloved and upcycled, please can you carefully review all the photos before purchase - thank you! Dalston Rose Solid Pine Bedroom Furniture

These solid pine pieces have been given the ultimate modern country makeover and demonstrates that the simplest vintage furniture can be transformed into an on trend feature piece. The frame and handles of the original 4+2 drawer chest of drawers (or dresser as our American friends like to call it!) and bedside tables have been refinished in a striking black acrylic paint. The flat surfaces have then been decoupaged with this striking HoH Dalston Rose paper featuring roses in black and white on a cream background. The whole piece has then been sealed with several coats of satin varnish which gentle refracts the light. I have a very limited amount of this discontinued paper available so please contact me for more information before purchasing. Typical order lead time is 4-6 weeks.

I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
