‘Age of Aquarius’ G-Plan Dining Chairs
These fabulous 1970s G-Plan chairs are solid wood and have been bought bang up to date with a custom aged metal finish. In doing this, you get an industrial space age chic but with all the warmth of wood.
Each chair has been completely stripped down to the bare wood and the grain exposed before being coated in a bright silver chrome acrylic paint. To bring out the grain and history of each piece, I have then applied a custom black glaze before finishing with two layers of satin varnish to protect.
The seat pads have been reupholstered. The interior foams have been replaced to bring them up to modern fire safety standards whilst improving their comfort. The upholstery fabric is a black textured soft velvet with a geometric hexagons and triangles design from Studio G (part of Clarke and Clarke). The Lustro Loreto design in Jet ticks both the modern and retro styles simultaneously!
These ‘Age of Aquarius’ dining chairs would look fabulous with a metal and glass dining table. Take a look at the offerings from DAPPR Aviation for more ideas!
Dimensions: 500mm wide x 500mm deep x 870mm high. 440mm to top of seat pad.
The price is for the set of four chairs but I would consider splitting into two pairs and can source larger sets for you if required.
