These Graham & Greene aluminium side tables have been given a Glasshouse Girl revamp and upgrade. The heavy weight aluminium tables have been repolished to a high shine showing off their elegant silver beauty, The top has then been stencilled with a black dragon mandala design which has then been sealed with glossy resin for a domed finish.

Dimensions: 600mm diameter x 585mm high.

All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance. Please review all photos carefully before purchase – thank you!

Ivory Cream ‘Safari’ Bedroom Furniture

These three drawer solid pine bedside cabinet tables are deceptively subtle with a beautifully drawn safari of animals in grey and silver strolling across the surface savannahs. Each cabinet is painted in an ivory cream acrylic paint on the outside and on the visible drawer edges. Each flat surface has been decoupaged in an African animal themed wallpaper with a silver shine which includes Giraffes, Elephants, Hippos and Zebras. This has then been sealed in with two coats of satin varnish to protect from wear and tear. Drawer interiors are lined with the same paper and finished with an heavy silver metal ethnic bird handle. Floral Blue & White English Countryside Bedside Cabinet(s)

These solid pine bedside cabinets are subtle and sophisticated featuring a floral pattern using motifs from the English countryside Each cabinet is painted in a white acrylic paint with a soft grey undertone. Each flat surface has been decoupaged in a blue, white and silver wallpaper that features roses/dahlias, foxgloves and poppies. This has then been sealed with two coats of satin varnish to protect it. The handles are real ridged glass flowers with a silver centre and the drawers have been been lined with the same floral design paper . You can also commission solid pine chest of drawers (approx £435 depending on size) and dressing tables (approx £315) in the same design. I have numerous 'raw' pine bedsides in stock with plain bases / bun feet and flat / curved tops which you can choose from if you commission bedsides in this design. Parisian Stripe Floral Bedside Tables

These classic Stag bedside tables feature wide Parisian style stripes in a classic taupe and ivory. The top has been kept classic in the neutral taupe whilst the striped sides and front of the drawers feature that extra touch of oh la la with creamy white Magnolia flowers. A secret pull out table top extension makes them extra useful giving you the perfect place to pop your book or teacup when enjoying a well deserved lie-in on a Sunday. The original floral handles have been polished and lacquered to keep the classic brass shining bright. All surfaces have been sealed in tough acrylic varnish. Haute Couture Side Table / Trolley

This sweet little side table or cocktail trolley is solid pine and painted in a custom chalk paint made from Farrow and Ball's Clunch before a little light distressing to give it that relaxed aged / shabby chic look. The top glass surface has been freehand painted on the underside with a shabby chic French sign design which says 'Haute Couture' in black and gold / brass. The table has been sealed in matte varnish to make provide a durable finish. I managed to find a set of vintage castors (removable) with rubber feet which have been given a brass finish to complete the look. They also make this lovely piece would make a the perfect side table, bedside table or even cocktail / tea trolley for anyone with an eye for French shabby chic, handmade or Art Deco pieces with character. Dimensions: 660mm wide x 440mm deep x 685mm high inc wheels (600mm exc wheels). I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
