These Graham & Greene aluminium side tables have been given a Glasshouse Girl revamp and upgrade. The heavy weight aluminium tables have been repolished to a high shine showing off their elegant silver beauty, The top has then been stencilled with a black dragon mandala design which has then been sealed with glossy resin for a domed finish.

Dimensions: 600mm diameter x 585mm high.

All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance. Please review all photos carefully before purchase – thank you!

Black & White Monochrome Floral Patterned Bedroom Furniture

These 3 drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been lovingly upcycled and rescued from obscurity with coal black paint and decoupage. The decoupage is a floral motif featuring curvy lines and floral patterns which when seen from a distance is bold geometric whilst it gets more floral and feminine up close. The handles are a simple black cage which blends seamlessly with the black pattern. The units are finished with two coats of a resin based varnish to protect them from wear and tear. Dimensions: 405mm wide x 340mm deep x 560mm high The paper used is now out of print but I have enough left to create a matching chest of drawers which would be approximately £360 depending on size of the chest of drawers - please contact me to discuss. Mermaid Blue & Teak Bow Front Bedside Chest of Drawers

This lovely pair of vintage solid teak chest of drawers are the perfect storage side table or fabulous large bedside tables. They have been stripped down and the body painted in a custom-mixed traditionally grained milk paint. The colour is a dark blue with a hint of green which I am calling 'Mermaid Blue'. When you are close-up, the handpainted milk paint creates interesting striations of colour reminiscent of the deep ocean. The colour changes depending on the light from teal through to a deep blue depending on this light as you can see from the photos. The tops have been stained dark walnut and the handy pull-out panels have a gold keyline detail. The whole piece has been sealed using a very hardwearing satin hardwax oil. The stunning sunburst drop ring handles are solid brass and have a delightful vintage patina. Please note, this is a handpainted milk paint finish which is designed to show off differences in colour, speckling and flaws in the wood. These pieces were likely handmade and carved so should not be considered 'perfect'. This in no way detracts from the overall look and indeed creates a genuine shabby chic finish which is truly beautiful. I have, of course, included lots of detailed photos and close-up photos for you to review before purchase. Game of Thrones Inspired Cocktail Bureau

This stunning carved solid teak bureau would make the perfect cocktail or drinks cabinet as well as providing loads of storage space. A unique statement piece, you can just imagine the conversations you could have with family and friends around it whilst you prepare drinks and cocktails! It's practical and stylish - what more could you want? The piece has has moved past its dark 1980s style days and brought bang up to date with a grey and white drybrushed finish. This makes it look like stone or metal which changes depending on the light. I've tried to show you this in the photos. The front of the bureau and drawer fronts feature a carved birds and blossom design which is really brought out by the finish. This is what really inspired me to give it the edgy finish as it was so reminiscent of the Game of Thrones intro. The flowers align it with the House of Tyrell but you won't be disappointed if you are feel you're more of a Stark, Lannister, Baratheon or Targaryen. Even if you've never watched GOT and couldn't care less where the inspiration came from, you'll still love its statement modern style! The interior has been painted in sleek black whilst the drawers have been lined with a grey / black snakeskin print paper with just a touch of glitter which adds that little bit of extra style and surprise when open. The original oriental base has been replaced with some simple solid oak 'L' shaped corner feet which brings the styling bang up to date. Dimensions: 460mm deep x 890mm wide x 1010mm tall. ‘Snakebite in Black’ Side Tables / Cabinets

This pair of very old vintage pot cupboards have been given a Glasshouse Girl makeover and turned into stylish side tables perfect for a modern bedroom, hallway or living room. Just because your interior style favours the subtle, furniture with a pop of colour on the inside can brighten your day! Each cupboard has been carefully prepared, undercoated and painted in hardwearing matte acrylic paint. The outsides are black and the insides deliver a massive pop of hot pink. The shelves have then been lined with pink snakeskin wallpaper to add even more interest. Simple pink resin and brass t-bar handles from Graham and Green complete the look. I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
