Parisian Stripe Floral Bedside Tables

These classic Stag bedside tables feature wide Parisian style stripes in a classic taupe and ivory. The top has been kept classic in the neutral taupe whilst the striped sides and front of the drawers feature that extra touch of oh la la with creamy white Magnolia flowers. A secret pull out table top extension makes them extra useful giving you the perfect place to pop your book or teacup when enjoying a well deserved lie-in on a Sunday. The original floral handles have been polished and lacquered to keep the classic brass shining bright. All surfaces have been sealed in tough acrylic varnish. Price is for the pair of bedside cabinets. Dimensions: 520mm wide x 460mm deep x 540mm high. The Parisian Magnolia design can be recreated on other pieces of furniture and in other colourways such as Black / White, Greys, Pink / Ivory and more. Black & White Monochrome Floral Patterned Bedroom Furniture

These 3 drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been lovingly upcycled and rescued from obscurity with coal black paint and decoupage. The decoupage is a floral motif featuring curvy lines and floral patterns which when seen from a distance is bold geometric whilst it gets more floral and feminine up close. The handles are a simple black cage which blends seamlessly with the black pattern. The units are finished with two coats of a resin based varnish to protect them from wear and tear. Dimensions: 405mm wide x 340mm deep x 560mm high The paper used is now out of print but I have enough left to create a matching chest of drawers which would be approximately £360 depending on size of the chest of drawers - please contact me to discuss. All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance.

‘Flamingo’ Bedroom Furniture

These two drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been given a gentle, feminine and glamourous makeover reminiscent of Hollywood's Golden Age. Each cabinet has been painted in a custom mixed antique white acrylic paint and the flat surfaces have been decoupaged in a flamingo themed wallpaper from Sanderson. This paper is from the Vintage Collection II in the blush / ivory colourway and the blush pink print has a delicate metallic finish. They have then been finished with two coats of satin varnish to seal and protect from wear and tear. Iridescent glass bubbles handles from Anthropologie perfectly pick out the pink and white glamour of the flamingo paper. Dimensions: 440m wide x 400mm deep x 455mm high. This design can be applied to all manner of pine furniture and other furniture pieces and special requests can be accommodated including the other colourways shown here. You can also commission a matching solid pine chest of drawers (approx £425 depending on size) and/or dressing tables (approx £320) in the same design. Holy moly Jenny is good! She has totally transformed our kitchen by sanding down and painting every single door and spraying the handles too and it looks utterly fab. I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
