Yellow Vintage Farmhouse Style Small Sideboard / Storage
This vintage oak sideboard is just perfect for adding a bright and cheery vibe as well as useful storage to your hallway, lounge, kitchen or dining room. The carved detail on the top drawers features some fabulous fruity vines and leaves.
An authentic vintage piece, it has been cleaned up and painted using a canary yellow acrylic paint, before being lightly distressed and antique glazed to give it an authentic antique style. The heavy weight drop handles have been refinished in a satin black to contrast with the yellow whilst adding a touch of modern style.
The top has been completely stripped back, stained with a walnut wood dye and finished in a satin hardwax oil. This makes the gorgeous oak woodgrain stand out and protects it from every day wear and tear.
The drawers have been lined with a fruity floral wallpaper adding an extra pop of colour when you open them.
Dimensions: 1160mm wide x 460mm deep x 760mm high.
As this is a preloved piece with an aged and distressed finish, please examine all the photos carefully before purchase - thank you! Please note, at some point this piece had a mirror mounted on the back so there are two tiny notches in the back edge - please see photos for details - but this in no way detracts from the beauty or function of the piece.

Vintage Serpentine Sideboard Decoupaged in Lacroix ‘La Main au Collet’ Paper
This stylish vintage sideboard with a serpentine front and dagger legs has been given a modern 'shabby luxe' makeover.
The piece has been painted black and then decoupaged with Christian Lacroix's 'La Main au Collet' wallpaper by Designers Guild in the Galet colourway. This is a lovely neutral beige with black illustrations of gemstones and jewellery that features cherubs, rings, hearts and jewel details with a traditional feel.
The original lion's head handles have been refinished in black and the piece has been sealed in a hardwearing satin varnish.
Dimensions: 1380mm wide x 480mm deep (at the deepest point) x 855mm high.

Grey Sideboards
Let's talk about Grey sideboards because I'm working on three this month!
I have one medium bow fronted sideboard with four central drawers and a cupboard on either side in stock and ready to ship immediately - the majority of the photos are of this sideboard. The sideboard has been updated with a matte ash grey acrylic paint and a touch up pot will be provided to keep your piece in perfect condition for years to come. The original handles are solid brass and have been restored and lacquered. Each cupboard is closed and opened using a key and both original keys are included. If you pop me a message after purchase, I will make you a set of custom tassels for the keys in up to two colours. Theinterior has been lightly used by its previous owner so I simply cleaned and polished it with lemon polish so it smells gorgeous! Measurements: 1305mm wide x 870mm tall x 350mm / 455mm deep (end / middle). If this isn't the one for you then read on rather than buying now! I've shown 'multi-pix' of other grey sideboards that I've worked on.My grey sideboards are based on quality preloved pieces - mostly reproduction and exceptionally crafted veneered items. They are usually stripped back to the bare wood before priming, undercoating and painting in grey matte acrylic paint and the shade can vary from a pale almost white grey, through mid greys, blue greys and darkest greys. An additional topcoat in matte, satin or gloss can also be added. The original handles are either replaced or refinished in stunning gold chrome - or your own choice of finish like antiqued brass or silver chrome. The insides are cleaned and polished.

Navy Blue Sideboards
OOOH... Navy Blue sideboards. One of my most popular upcycled items!
I have one small bow fronted sideboard with two drawers over two cupboards in stock and ready to ship immediately. The sideboard has been updated with a matte navy acrylic paint and a touch up pot will be provided to keep your piece in perfect condition for years to come. The original handles have been refinished in bright gold and the interior has been lightly used by its previous owner so I simply cleaned and polished it with lemon polish so it smells gorgeous! Measurements: 1070mm wide x 820mm tall x 445mm / 500mm deep (end / middle). Vintage Farmhouse Country Oak Hand Painted Sideboards
Pictured here is a selection of the vintage oak sideboards which have been given a handpainted country makeover and I can source the perfect piece for you too!
You'll then be able to choose all the details so I can give your piece a bespoke makeover including:

Apple Green Rustic Farmhouse Sideboard
This classic oak sideboard features carved details and has a primitive styling which really reflects a spring time English country lifestyle.
The main unit has been painted in a custom mixed apple green coloured acrylic paint, lightly distressed and antique glazed to give it an authentic time worn style. The original brass handles have been repolished and lacquered to keep them looking bright and shiny.
The top has been completely stripped back to the wood, stained with a dark oak wood dye and made durable with a finishing coat of a hardwearing matt floor oil.
The original works are still in good working order and complimentary tassels have been added to the handles.
The interior has been cleaned up and painted in an off-white acrylic paint. To add a bit of interest when you open the drawers, I have used Laura Ashley's 'Summer Palace' wallpaper in the Duck Egg colourway. With the vibrant duck egg / aqua blue base, pink birds and yellow / pink flowers, the interior is as interesting at the outside.
Dimensions: 1340mm wide x 480mm deep x 905mm high.

Condition notes:
- the left hand door needs to be pressed gently to when opening the lock with the key.
- the right hand door needs the key to not be pushed all the way in when unlocking!
- The back right corner of the top has a visible crack but this is completely stable and does not move or distract from the finish.
Dark Peacock Bow Front Sideboard
This gorgeous 1950s Beautility brand sideboard has been given a glamorous update with the bow-front curves gently undulating to accentuate its fine figure.
These pieces are stripped down and brought back to life by painting in multiple coats of hardwearing black acrylic paint. I then apply this stunning textured vinyl wallpaper to the flat surfaces. The design has a black base and striking colours which feature peacocks, quail and other birds as well as tulips, roses and floral motifs.
To complete the piece, I have added the gorgeous handles from Anthropologie. The black drawers are set off with turquoise handles and the doors have matching black handles to more subtly merge into the feature paper.
This is a truly great example of Shabby Luxe styling, where a piece has been luxuriously upcycled whilst keeping its vintage charm intact.
Dimensions: 1220mm wide x 490mm deep (at max curve) x 565mm high.
These pieces have been finished and graded for light domestic use (e.g. display and storage purposes) standards but if you wish to use it for a more arduous application (e.g. bar or serving area) then I would recommend adding a glass top. A glass top template will be included with your purchase for you to source locally or you can upgrade by selecting the 'with glass' option when you add to your basket.
Typical lead time is 4-6 weeks once a raw unit has been sourced.

Canary Yellow Vintage Farmhouse Style Low Sideboard

This solid oak sideboard has been given a bright and cheery makeover. Its carved details and primitive style are just the essence of English country farmhouse style.
As a low unit, this piece would not only work in a traditional dining room or kitchen diner but it would work brilliantly in your lounge with your flatscreen TV on top. You could even add a couple of bright cushions and use it as the perfect hallway or bedroom storage unit and bench.

The original hardware has been refinished in a satin black to contrast with the yellow whilst adding a touch of modern style. The whole exterior has been sealing with several coats of satin lacquer to maintain its aged good looks.

Black ‘Croc’ Storage Sideboard
This is an excellent example of my 'Croc' range of furniture using an original vintage 'Strongbow Furniture' sideboard.
The external frame has been painted black and the top, sides and door front decoupaged with a textured black/grey mock croc paper. The piece has then been sealed with multiple coats of a resin based varnish to protect and maintain its good looks.
As a final flourish, the original brass hardware has been fully restored and adds a bit of glitz to the sideboard's subtle and elegant good looks.

This sideboard has three doors and two pull out drawers behind the central door. The interior has been cleaned and buffed to show the beautiful original wood. Coming up to just above waist height, this sideboard has an incredible amount of storage which is ideal for modern living.

Black & Pale Yew Sideboard / Dresser
This gorgeous small sideboard has been given a real Glasshouse Girl transformation - you can read all about it on my blog. Starting its journey as a yellow varnished piece, once the varnish came off the yew veneer revealed its true beauty.
The body has been painted (inside and out) in a black matt acrylic paint giving it an edgy modern finish. Whilst the top surface, drawer fronts and doors have had a cream tinted oil applied and been buffed until it feels like velvet. This oil product was originally developed for floors so its incredibly hardwearing.
The handles and hinges have been refinished in brass, a nod to its traditional styling.
This small sideboard would be lovely in a dining room or kitchen but would work equally well as a tv stand or bedroom storage.

Game of Thrones Inspired Cocktail Bureau
This stunning carved solid teak bureau would make the perfect cocktail or drinks cabinet as well as providing loads of storage space. A unique statement piece, you can just imagine the conversations you could have with family and friends around it whilst you prepare drinks and cocktails! It's practical and stylish - what more could you want?
The piece has has moved past its dark 1980s style days and brought bang up to date with a grey and white drybrushed finish. This makes it look like stone or metal which changes depending on the light. I've tried to show you this in the photos.
The front of the bureau and drawer fronts feature a carved birds and blossom design which is really brought out by the finish. This is what really inspired me to give it the edgy finish as it was so reminiscent of the Game of Thrones intro. The flowers align it with the House of Tyrell but you won't be disappointed if you are feel you're more of a Stark, Lannister, Baratheon or Targaryen. Even if you've never watched GOT and couldn't care less where the inspiration came from, you'll still love its statement modern style!
The interior has been painted in sleek black whilst the drawers have been lined with a grey / black snakeskin print paper with just a touch of glitter which adds that little bit of extra style and surprise when open.
The original oriental base has been replaced with some simple solid oak 'L' shaped corner feet which brings the styling bang up to date.
Dimensions: 460mm deep x 890mm wide x 1010mm tall.
