This lovely side table has been given a classic makeover in black and gold that gives a subtle nod to the classical Graeco-Roman style.

The table has been painted in a soft matte black acrylic and a sparkling gold design stencilled on top. The top has then been sealed in a hardwearing varnish.

Dimensions: 535mm diameter x 585mm high.

All my pieces are upcycled and use preloved furniture and whilst they have been given a complete upgrade, there may be still be limited signs of their vintage provenance. Please review all photos carefully before purchase – thank you!

Haute Couture Side Table / Trolley

This sweet little side table or cocktail trolley is solid pine and painted in a custom chalk paint made from Farrow and Ball's Clunch before a little light distressing to give it that relaxed aged / shabby chic look. The top glass surface has been freehand painted on the underside with a shabby chic French sign design which says 'Haute Couture' in black and gold / brass. The table has been sealed in matte varnish to make provide a durable finish. I managed to find a set of vintage castors (removable) with rubber feet which have been given a brass finish to complete the look. Rainbow Stickback Chair

Whether you like The Wizard of Oz, support gay Pride or simply love a rainbow, the Glasshouse Girl Rainbow Chair will bring a splash of colour to your dining room, hallway or home office! Colour has been proven to boost your mood and this chair delivers just that! The chair was completely disassembled, sanded back to the bare wood and undercoated. Each of the stick was painted in a different rainbow colour and the main frame of the chair painted in a matt black acrylic paint. Once reassembled the chair was topcoated with a satin varnish to keep if looking beautiful and make it hard wearing. This chair design can also be ordered in sets of 2, 4, 6 or 8 with a black or white frame. Custom coloured sticks and frames are also available on request (a fuschia frame and different pink shade sticks for instance!). King Skull Charcoal & Silver Bedroom Furniture

These three drawer solid pine bedside cabinets have been professionally upcycled and given an edgy and striking makeover. Each cabinet is painted in a hardwearing acrylic paint that is such a dark grey it is also black. Each flat surface has been decoupaged in a textured vinyl wallpaper that features crowned skulls in a glittery silver. The handles are classic, simple silver cones and the drawers have been been lined with the same skull design paper . Price is per cabinet and they are made to order on a commission basis (approx 4-6 weeks) using a similar cabinet that you will approve before the makeover starts. You can also commission solid pine chest of drawers (approx £395 depending on size) and dressing tables (approx £290) in the same design. Silver & Black Dragon Stencilled Resin & Aluminium Table

These Graham & Greene aluminium side tables have been given a Glasshouse Girl revamp and upgrade. The heavy weight aluminium tables have been repolished to a high shine showing off their elegant silver beauty, The top has then been stencilled with a black dragon mandala design which has then been sealed with glossy resin for a domed finish. Dimensions: 600mm diameter x 585mm high. I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
