Pieces that are out of stock are for illustration purposes of colours / design / price as the ‘raw’ units are harder to get hold of. That said, I shop for raw units every day so get in touch with your requirements and I’ll find the perfect piece just for you!

Black & Walnut Regency Style Dressing Table / Dresser

This delightful reproduction vintage dresser / dressing table has been given a modernising makeover in black and natural wood. The top and drawer fronts feature a lovely geometric inlay and have been stained in a walnut tone before sealing in hardwearing hardwax oil to make the grain and the inlay pop. The frame, side panels and mirror have been painted in a high quality matt black acrylic furniture paint. The Regency style wreath handles and castor feet have been refinished in a striking gold that pops against the black and walnut finish. The oval mirror has a fabulous bevelled edge and with three generous drawers and small under mirror drawer, this is just the perfect place to get ready for work or a fabulous night out. Mermaid Blue & Teak Bow Front Bedside Chest of Drawers

This lovely pair of vintage solid teak chest of drawers are the perfect storage side table or fabulous large bedside tables. They have been stripped down and the body painted in a custom-mixed traditionally grained milk paint. The colour is a dark blue with a hint of green which I am calling 'Mermaid Blue'. When you are close-up, the handpainted milk paint creates interesting striations of colour reminiscent of the deep ocean. The colour changes depending on the light from teal through to a deep blue depending on this light as you can see from the photos. The tops have been stained dark walnut and the handy pull-out panels have a gold keyline detail. The whole piece has been sealed using a very hardwearing satin hardwax oil. The stunning sunburst drop ring handles are solid brass and have a delightful vintage patina. Please note, this is a handpainted milk paint finish which is designed to show off differences in colour, speckling and flaws in the wood. These pieces were likely handmade and carved so should not be considered 'perfect'. This in no way detracts from the overall look and indeed creates a genuine shabby chic finish which is truly beautiful. I have, of course, included lots of detailed photos and close-up photos for you to review before purchase. Yellow Vintage Farmhouse Style Small Sideboard / Storage

This vintage oak sideboard is just perfect for adding a bright and cheery vibe as well as useful storage to your hallway, lounge, kitchen or dining room. The carved detail on the top drawers features some fabulous fruity vines and leaves. An authentic vintage piece, it has been cleaned up and painted using a canary yellow acrylic paint, before being lightly distressed and antique glazed to give it an authentic antique style. The heavy weight drop handles have been refinished in a satin black to contrast with the yellow whilst adding a touch of modern style. The top has been completely stripped back, stained with a walnut wood dye and finished in a satin hardwax oil. This makes the gorgeous oak woodgrain stand out and protects it from every day wear and tear. The drawers have been lined with a fruity floral wallpaper adding an extra pop of colour when you open them. Dimensions: 1160mm wide x 460mm deep x 760mm high. Silver & Black Dragon Stencilled Resin & Aluminium Table

These Graham & Greene aluminium side tables have been given a Glasshouse Girl revamp and upgrade. The heavy weight aluminium tables have been repolished to a high shine showing off their elegant silver beauty, The top has then been stencilled with a black dragon mandala design which has then been sealed with glossy resin for a domed finish. Dimensions: 600mm diameter x 585mm high. Black & Gold Classical Stencilled Side Table

This lovely side table has been given a classic makeover in black and gold that gives a subtle nod to the classical Graeco-Roman style. The table has been painted in a soft matte black acrylic and a sparkling gold design stencilled on top. The top has then been sealed in a hardwearing varnish. Dimensions: 535mm diameter x 585mm high. Parisian Stripe Floral Bedside Tables

These classic Stag bedside tables feature wide Parisian style stripes in a classic taupe and ivory. The top has been kept classic in the neutral taupe whilst the striped sides and front of the drawers feature that extra touch of oh la la with creamy white Magnolia flowers. A secret pull out table top extension makes them extra useful giving you the perfect place to pop your book or teacup when enjoying a well deserved lie-in on a Sunday. Vintage Serpentine Sideboard Decoupaged in Lacroix ‘La Main au Collet’ Paper

This stylish vintage sideboard with a serpentine front and dagger legs has been given a modern 'shabby luxe' makeover. The piece has been painted black and then decoupaged with Christian Lacroix's 'La Main au Collet' wallpaper by Designers Guild in the Galet colourway. This is a lovely neutral beige with black illustrations of gemstones and jewellery that features cherubs, rings, hearts and jewel details with a traditional feel. The original lion's head handles have been refinished in black and the piece has been sealed in a hardwearing satin varnish. Dimensions: 1380mm wide x 480mm deep (at the deepest point) x 855mm high. Black Velvet Bristow Easy Chairs

These lovely Original Bristow Easy Chairs were originally owned by a couple who had them from new when they were first married back in the 1960s. They are preloved and have been a part of a wonderful life. They have now been reloved by Glasshouse Girl and are ready to be a start a new story as a part of a your home. I have two chairs available and the price quoted is per chair. Each chair has been completely stripped down to the bare wood and painted in a black acrylic. The interior foams have been replaced to bring them up to modern fire safety standards. The upholstery fabric is a black textured soft velvet with a geometric hexagons and triangles design from Studio G (part of Clarke and Clarke). The Lustro Loreto design in Jet ticks both the modern and retro styles simultaneously! With a sprung base and seat back underneath and thick incredibly comfortable foam pad, these Easy chairs are the perfect mid-century feature piece for you to melt into after a long day. ‘Snakebite in Black’ Side Tables / Cabinets

This pair of very old vintage pot cupboards have been given a Glasshouse Girl makeover and turned into stylish side tables perfect for a modern bedroom, hallway or living room. Just because your interior style favours the subtle, furniture with a pop of colour on the inside can brighten your day! Each cupboard has been carefully prepared, undercoated and painted in hardwearing matte acrylic paint. The outsides are black and the insides deliver a massive pop of hot pink. The shelves have then been lined with pink snakeskin wallpaper to add even more interest. Simple pink resin and brass t-bar handles from Graham and Green complete the look. Single Shelf Cabinet dimensions: 403mm wide x 400mm deep x 740mm high Double Shelf Cabinet dimensions: 414mm wide x 400mm deep x 767mm high These cabinets are very old and quirky which adds to their shabby chic appeal, so please take care to review the photographs carefully before purchase - thank you! I was overjoyed to see a large dresser, bedside table and mirror from my childhood restored after receiving 40 years of abuse, including my own attempt at refurbishing it. Jenny was very good in the initial stages of helping me to define what effect, I wanted to achieve. I sent her examples of a subtle grey lime wash on oak with soft white highlights on a piece I saw in the Cotswolds. She responded with several photos of something similar to clarify the ask, then it was time to send the furniture to her, which was complicated by the fact I was moving house. But we managed to come up with a plan and the movers dropped the furniture at her storage unit the same day. Throughout the process Jenny sent jpeg photos in emails to show me how it was progressing. We were able to make some minor changes after the first piece was almost finished. What I didn’t expect was that the pieces were made of different types of wood and the top of the bedside table was almost destroyed due to water (mostly spilt tea) damage. This was the biggest challenge to overcome because the final look had to be consistent across all three pieces. Jenny rose to the challenge and performed her paint “magic” and the final result is brilliant, better than I could have imagined. The only slight disappointment was due to my own indecisiveness about the brass trim handles and knobs. I wish I had listened to Jenny in the first place when she brightened them up, still - she let me come back with them, conjured up a nice looking sample which she posted to me and soon they will receive the “Glass House Girl” treatment too. Most of all, through all of this, I appreciated the open communication through emails and text, Jenny was on top of it the whole way. Of course, I would highly recommend sending any weary looking furniture to Glass House Girl to brighten up with her magic.

Fantastic service from Jenny. I had my mother’s old Singer sewing machine I wanted making into a lamp. Jenny arranged for the machine to be collected and re-delivered back to my house. When I had a slight problem with the lamp, Jenny arranged for it to be collected so she could make it good again and returned it to me herself at no extra cost to me. She did a BRILLIANT job and the lamp is now standing proudly in my front room in memory of my mum. I would highly recommend Glasshouse girl, honest, trustworthy and marvellous craftswomen. You won’t be disappointed.
